Client
Bastrop county
situation
Under the leadership of a new Tourism Director, Bastrop County, made up of Bastrop, Smithville and Elgin, crafted a new mission, vision and strategic plan for the county as a whole. This meant more than just a new brand identity; It was the combination and cohesion between three cities, each with their own set of unique offerings to potential visitors. Though a high-quality and representative brand was required, an important aspect of this project was branding the organization to ensure that all cities within the county had representation and felt truly reflected in the deliverables. That’s where we came in.
plan of Attack
Hoteliers and city officials would scrutinize our work, as they all had passionate views on the county and cities in which they live. In anticipation, an in-depth interview and research process was more important than ever; we wanted to make sure stakeholders were heard and involved in the process. After the discovery of each cities' unique selling proposition, an all-encompassing logo, tagline and personality fell right into place.

responsive Website Design
The website is the most dynamic tool that Bastrop County utilizes to communicate with their audience. Since their "friendly nature" is one of the county's biggest selling propositions, custom photography that highlights the beautiful offerings is front and center. We keep it fresh and feature an up-to-date calendar of events and more.
2016 Visitors Guide
The annual visitors guide is an essential part of the marketing for Bastrop County. We refresh the design every year to include restaurants, attractions, parks, and any new offerings for each town.
field guide to bastrop county Campaign
The goal of the "Field Guide to Bastrop County" campaign is to push beyond the traditional collage-format print advertisements for tourism. The audience is invited to look closer at the Bastrop County offerings, as the headline can mean more than what first meets the eye. This campaign is integrated with print, digital, and social advertisements.
